The Ranger Roadster replica, hand crafted by Jerry Day and Dave Craver along with help from others, will be on display as one of the stars of the day at the Golden Wheels Inspection & Car Show this Sunday April 19th. It's located this year at the Shoreline Historical Museum, 185th & Linden Ave. N. (1 block west of Aurora), Shoreline, WA.

Come enjoy the day with a look at the past and check out the latest that is scheduled to be on the track some time this season during exhibition runs. Test runs of the Ranger can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XIjKy1TXJ8 & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cX7wNUVUnFc&feature=em-upload_owner .

Looks like the weather is going to be great for the Golden Wheels Inspection & Car Show this Sunday so drop by and check things out... See ya there.

What a beautiful piece of history. Great work by some of the best in the business. Jerry always was and still is one of the finest craftsman around. Sorry I can't be there to see it in person. Hope someone takes lots of pictures and posts them here.

I remember seeing one of the Rangers at Monroe years ago and to hear it run was amazing. Jerry ran it around for a few laps that day. What a sight.

When I got my first race car back in the 60's I stored it at a friends house in Shoreline and there was an old upright with a ranger in it back in the corner. Not sure where it went but hope it may still be around somewhere.

Is this the Ranger you are thinking of Mr. drifter56w? Jimmie Collier's. Shots taken at Golden Wheels outing on 7-31-1992 at Evergreen Speedway. Knew I had some shots collecting dust somewhere. J. Day could probably add a page or two of info on the car. Sorry you can't make it Sunday.

Yes I do belive that was the car that was at Evergreen.

The car that as in the garage I shared was an upright sprinter without a cage. The garage I rented was where the fellow that used to own the car that was sponsored by Evergreen Roofing back in the 60's lived. I can't remember his name for the life of me (darn old age). I beleive he was shot and killed sometime in the late 60's. I think Doug James drove for him in the Evergreen car.

A friend of mine bought the house and I rented the garage from him.

The car was maroon as I recall and in several pieces. It was only there for a short time and someone came and got it. That would have been in about 1970.

I think Jimmy brought the car out to Evergreen when we had our first Doug James Memorial Race. Was that the race Fred ran your car Dick??

The year Fred drove for me was 1994, don't remember if that was the James Memorial or not.

A very BIG THANKS to all that participated in, and came out to view, the Golden Wheels Inspection and Car Show Sunday. It's really appreciated.

I really enjoyed seeing all the "Old Timers" (they'll deny the OlD part") that showed up. Among them were Tom Glithero, Curt Kern, Jerry Day, Mike Blackstock, Carl Peter, Jerry Day and Ed Williams, who as can be seen, was along with Dave Craver the center attraction in a photo shoot by Mike Blackstock. (Where, oh where, was Elaine?) A really great day and much appreciated by Golden Wheels.

Now you all have to come watch when the vintage cars take to the track this summer. You can check the schedule at http://www.goldenwheels.org/index.html.
