I will not be attending Yakima this year (first time since it opened) so we need the members to keep everyone up to date if possible. I know we have a bunch of folks that can do it. Lets gang up on this and keep the poor souls that can not attend (like me) up to date on whats happenin! Please, please, please :D

As always...NWRaceTalk members rock!        Thanks everybody ;)

Howdy rick t.  yes the one and only NWFAN   aka Dean will be leaving tomorrowin afternoon for Yakima.  Since it is only a two and a half hour drive (and we stay with relatives) I will keep you posted.  I will also take some pics to post.

This is my first race at the Yakima facility so I don't know what to expect.  From what I have heard the track is not really that great.  Any input for me?

Track is usually great. Last year it wasn't. If it's a good track, expect a good show...

Won't be there either Rick. :( First time missing it since '04.

NWFAN, What to expect? Expect to see some very fast racing. If they get the weeds pulled and work the track for more than a day or so, it should be smooth and dry slick. I do know that there were people going over on Sunday to get started on prepping things for us, so hopefully they will have had the time to get it ready. If it is a rutty mess, there will be carnage, but if it is smooth, it will be some great 2 and 3 wide all the way around racing, and watch out for Rutz, that guy will be on the fence all the way around....

Thanks!

I hadn't followd what all had been going on there this year.

Some of the local sprint guys have been there years ago and had alot fun. Maybe we can break away for a race up there next season?

I will be in attendance tomorrow night, and will see if I can wrangle someone into posting details via text message.

thanks to anyone that passes on info to those of us that either couldn't go this weekend or just elected not to (hate to say it, but i fall into that category......this track has been horrible in past years that they actually used the facility througout the year, but don't believe there was even one race ran there this year. thinking that the track will be an absolute joke, no matter how much effort has been put into it this past week. hopefully i am wrong).

anyway, still appreciate those that pass along info and hope that you do actually get a good show.

Even with the track being so bad last year, it was still a good show. I hated to see so much equipment get trashed, but it is what it is. Helluva good fair to enjoy before the races too. I wish I could have skipped work and made both days, but will have to settle for Saturday only.
