Once again W.E.S.C.O takes to Evergreen Speedway's 3/8 mile this Saturday May 28th. The winter has been spent by the members working together to resurrect the club and bring some of the members old and new together on the same page.

As with any business venture this has not been an easy task, but with patience and perseverance, the members are moving forward and the car count is growing with the intent to build and keep an affordable sprint car association dedicated to putting on a good show for the fans as well as the promoter.

Here is wishing the best of luck to all teams participating and hoping this Memorial Day week end will be a memorable one for all. This race will be a great way to honor not only those that have served for our great country, but also to remember and honor our racing heroes that have also passed. The list of local racers who have recently departed is getting too long. R.I.P. to all.

I'm thinking the July race has proven that WESCO is heading in the right direction of being a leading sprint car pavement organization. Next up is the Rory Price Memorial and the King of the wing. I'm not sure how many sprint cars the stand alone KOTW series can bring into the area and hope that the 21 American Racing tire WESCO cars are not excluded. Time will tell. What a great back gate opportunity for a promoter to add 21 cars to a traveling series like KOTW and Rory Price Memorial and a huge advantage for the Sprint car fans in general. ;)
