Tacoma, Washington- 2016 would witness Jonathan Jorgenson make his Midget debut. Although he didn’t make every single race of the Northwest Focus Midget Series schedule he did manage to make over half of the shows. Of the eleven races, the Tacoma driver would attend Jonathan posted four top fives and his best result was a second-place finish at Deming Speedway, on August 19th, during the first night of the Big Al Memorial.

“Last year we were going to do more Wingless Sprint stuff but ended up staying with the Midget,” stated Jorgenson, “it was a good year of learning about the car and how they operate. Now that we have some experience under our belt I can’t wait for this season.”

Although Jorgenson’s team is still in the process of launching their full 2017 schedule they do have a rough idea of how it will all play out. The Jorgenson Manufacturing/Shareway Industries/D.G. Machine #2J entry plans on making all ten of the Northwest Focus Midget Series point races and will run non-series Midget races as well. He will also make the long journeys south at the end of the year to Southern Oregon Speedway, in White City, and Chico, California’s Silver Dollar Speedway.

“I think Chico will be perfect for the Midgets and it’s going to be great being two nights. Also, Southern Oregon will be another good track and has some really good clay.”

Back in 2015, Jonathan finished third in points with the Northwest Wingless Tour. In 2017 the team will still make some Non-Wing Sprint events when the schedule allows. He will most definitely have quite the diverse schedule no matter what and where he shows up with or at. You can stay updated by visiting the team Instagram at “Amocat0”.
