Funden Takes Home Emoonal 90 Minutes of Fear WinGrowing up at Evergreen Speedway Seth Funden always watched his dad race and loved watching big races like 90 Minutes of Fear. Before Saturday Night Funden had won many races but the big ones had slipped away un"l he captured the checkered #ag to take home his $rst Monroe Grocery Outlet 90 Minutes of Fear win in the Outlaw Figure 8 Division. Funden had to hold o( a hard charging $eld of drivers while naviga"ng a very wet track. Most ofthe chaos throughout the night happened behind Funden with Jake Repin taking home second place. It was second genera"on driver Bryant Carlson grabbing his $rst podium in Outlaw Figure 8 racing in third posi"on.It was also a great night to have the last name of Cox at Evergreen Speedway with Father Steve Cox and his son Dawson Cox taking home wins in each of their divisions. It was the biggest $eld of the year for the Monroe Grocery Outlet Super Stocks with Steve Cox winning in domina"ng fashion and naviga"ng through the carnage throughout the $eld. It was consistency that paid o( for Brandon Florer by taking home second. Brian Li/le had a hard fought night but capped it o( the podium with a third place $nish. On a normal Saturday night you would see Dawson Cox in the Hornet division but an opportunity came up to race in the Buzz Inn S"nger 8’s and he took full advantage of it. Cox used a barrowed car to hold o( a strong ba/le with Cody Hoopes to take the win. Hoopes would $nish second a3er an early lead. It was Jaimie Corbe/ $nishing up in third place. The Roger Drake show con"nued in the Les Schwab Street Stocks by capturing his second straight main event win. Darrell Lutsovsky tried to navigate the wet track and catch Drake but fell just short in second place. The night was $lled of slipping and sliding for Steve Ptacek as he rounded out the top three.
The WESCO Sprint Cars showed with a great $eld of cars for the event on the Saturday. A3er qualifying 17 Sprint Cars the racing for them was called o( due to track condi"ons because of the weather.
