AUGUST 3, 2019; The 14th Annual Rory Price Memorial is set to invade Evergreen Speedway for its annual appearance with the NSRA (Northwest Sprint Car Racing Association), WESCO (Washington Economy Sprint Car Racing Association), the Evergreen Granite Super Sprints, WMRA, late models, Outlaw Figure 8s and Jr. Hornets, The famed 3/8th and 1/5 mile paved ovals based in Monroe, WA at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, about 30-45 minutes north of Seattle. The Rory Price Memorial honors the memory of “RP”, Rory Price, a man who raced winged and nonwinged sprint cars (360 and 410 sprint cars and midgets, on both dirt and pavement). He won races all over the west coast with WMRA, BCRA, USAC, NSRA and at Skagit Speedway. Rory was known for his sense of humor and was tragically lost while testing a non-wing sprint car at Evergreen Speedway in March of 2006. RP drove for such notable NW car owners as Wil Kennedy (39), Kelly Kahne (23K), his own 60 car, and Gordy Serwold (99).

The “RP’ is one of the most anticipated races of the year. It draws cars and teams from all over the West Coast and Canada. 2 time and defending RP winner and NSRA champion Aaron Willison has been on a tear this season, and is looking to continue his hot streak. He has broken the track record at Evergreen twice this season, as well as setting a new track record @ Wenatchee Valley Super Oval, and will look to do it again and put the Rendle Bros Racing # 14 into the winner’s circle.

The RP normally draws 25-30 cars for this event and is expected to be a great showing again.

Will we see a first time winner? Will we see a repeat winner?

This weekend will definitely be one to not miss. Tickets are $20 for adults ($18+), Seniors (62=) $15, Youth (11-17) – $10, Military (w/ID) – FREE, Kids 10 and Under Free
Gates open @ 4:00PM.

Reportedly there were 27 drivers entered in the race but only mention of the winner. Anyone see the official finish?:?
